Diane Bolster, MSW
Diane Bolster is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is a member of the Phi Alpha Honor Society and an Integrative Behavioral Health (IBH) Scholar. Diane earned a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina Teaching Certification in Secondary English Education at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Prior to pursuing a career in social work, Diane was an educator, working with diverse student populations from early elementary through high school grades. Based on her experience with students, she has a particular interest in working with adolescents and young adults, especially those facing mental health challenges and members of the LGBTQIA+ community. As a first-year intern with the Coalition for Cultural Compassion (CCC), Diane engaged in intensive casework supporting two wheelchair-dependent clients facing challenges related to physical and mental health, poverty, and homelessness. She also conducted community outreach with CCC’s Compassion Closet program, where she continues as a volunteer. Diane is excited about upcoming opportunities to continue her learning and serve clients as an intern with Atrium Health Primary Care at Denver Internal and Family Medicine.
